Unremunerated
London and Hybrid
As Power to Change marks its 10th anniversary, we stand at a defining moment. Over the past decade, we have supported thousands of community businesses across England, initiatives led by local people to meet local needs, from reviving high streets and restoring heritage buildings to developing renewable energy projects and growing community-owned food enterprises.
We are entering a bold new phase focused on systems change, deepening support for underrepresented communities, and influencing the broader policy and funding environments that shape our sector. Power to Change is a think-do tank that believes local people are best placed to create lasting, meaningful change in their communities. We back community business because we have seen how it builds resilience, creates jobs, fosters pride, and strengthens local economies. We understand the barriers that communities face and are working with partners to reshape the conditions so that community businesses can truly thrive. We learn from what works, adapt quickly, and always stay grounded in our values of equity, inclusion, and trust in local leadership.
To help guide us into this next chapter, we are looking for two new trustees to join our board. We are seeking individuals with strategic vision and a commitment to community empowerment. One of the new trustees will bring experience in finance, and the other will bring expertise in public affairs and influencing. More than anything, we are looking for people who share our belief in the power of communities to lead change and who are excited by the opportunity to shape a more inclusive and locally rooted future.
If you want to play a role in a nationally respected organisation committed to unlocking communities' potential, we would be delighted to hear from you.
